The documentary follows women in their training in forensic labors and during their participation at the exhumation of the bodies, for the disappeared to return home. Their findings reveal a breathtaking reality: the Mexican authorities are involved in disappearances by secretly burying people in hidden mass graves.

AMATE FILMS is a production company dedicated to cinematographic creation. It has produced and made several short films that have been selected and awarded in national and international film festivals.
With a social focus, AMATE FILMS is interested in independent quality projects that promote consciousness and changes in communities.

As the AMATE tree that takes root among stones and these roots grow twisted, diverse and firm, we believe in projects that take root and grow within the community.

We look for diversity in stories that are related with humanity’s issues and concerns.

We believe in the magic of movies. Our logo is inspired by the traditional Nahua spells and offerings, a little amate doll that grows ideas while she sows them.
